4:03 pm	Bloody Shattered Ok! I now have a job..... Working in a night club!.... As a barman.... It's ok I guess, left for work at 7:05p.m., didnt get home till 3a.m. So pretty tired now.... Have to be back at work at 8 tonight, and on the second floor its all inclusive (Pay £12 to get in, unlimited drinks for the rest of the night!) not looking forward to it! Was told I looked buff in my uniform (which happens to be a gay exchange esque t shirt) and some girl grabbed my ass whilst glass collecting.... Cheeky cow! OK, its been ages.... Again! Not a huge ammount has been happening...again! Been playing HALO alot agin. Still no job.. Get this: "I" was turned down for a part time job in my local GAME.... Me?! I write my own games for fuck sake! I have been playing them for 17 years!!! (since I was 3 years old) Anyway, the game programming is starting to come along well. I've got the basic code (about 1200 lines so far..not much) for a 100% dynamically lit game engine. Problem is, it needs hardware Vertex & Pixel shader support (Geforce TI/FX, ATI Radion 8500+, X-BOX). I really want the engine to run on X-BOX hardware (I'll be applying for an INCUBATOR program Dev-kit ... By the end of the year hopefully), but I'm not sure if the hardware will be powerful enough... I bloody hope so... Also thinking of applying for a NOKIA N-GAGE dev kit... Not sure how well the format will perform sales wise, but its a pretty powerful little piece of kit! Still no girlfreind... NO surprise, as people who know me, will know how insanely high my standards are... I need serious help! Plus there hast really been anyone to catch my eye....*sigh* I broke the pickup selector switch on my Van Halen Peavey Wolfgang special.... Not happy, but one of my best mates works in a guitar shop, he said today he can get me a replacement for a fiver!!! Bargain! Ok. Went to the hospital regarding my eyesight, no better! Being reffered back to the surgeon on the 3rd of April, I GUESS I'M GONNA HAVE ANOTHER MAJOR SODDING EYE OPERATION!!! Had 2 already! No-one should have stitches in their eye! Its HORRIBLE! Anyway, I really miss being online much anymore! Miss chatting to ppl like Barry, Ticklebunny, Toni, Skittery... *Sigh* When I have more money, I'll get my own DSL connection put in, so I'll go on it more often (Plus X-BOX live...*yay*) Got a massive bloody headache right now! Oh well. I've been having really good ideas for my game lately! Problem is, it's very adult oriented - NO PORN, TONI!!! But, a very, very, very dark storyline. I'm actually quite surprised that I thought of it! I'm worried that the ending may prove too dark and depressing, you know. You play the game all the way through, and find out that nothing ends happily ever after (kinda like Farscape)... Any thoughts??? Well, if anyone has a good PC, and would like to be a tester for my game... You'd be mucho appreciated! Really looking forward to the UKPBFP this year!! Chance to meet up with everyone again! 9:16 pm	Close the gate! Or the fish will get out! Ok. It's been a while since my last proper post. Well, I quit university! Why? Because the course was terrible! Didnt touch computer games until year 2 (and it's a games course!), and even then it was space invaders! *YAWN* I bet the lecturers hadnt even heard of a vertex shader! Anyway, what am I doing now? I'm taing an online course in computer games mathematics (to brush up), jobless at the moment, but I'm going to attempt to start up my own independant computer games development project! It's gonna be very, very hard work, but I have the know how, I have the determination, I DONT have the support of my parents though..... Oh well, thats just a few cars worth o extra cash when I finally do make it! My first project is a first person (cliche - I know) action horror (not really a cliche!). I hate to make comparisons, as I want to make this game very individual (but not so individual, no publisher would chace publishing it), but think Halo meets resident evil - with a 100% dynamic lighting environment (hardware vertex & pixel shaders only - Nvidia & ATI), Dot3 bump mapping, inverse kinematics, and a unique weapon system (if you can pick it up,you can use it - from a garden fork to a shotgun)... But enough of that! Its months away, but I'm really looking forward to the ukpbfp (or what ever it's gonna be called) this year, shame it's probably gonna be the last (:0( ..... 9:43 am	Stuff Hung over like fuck..... Well... Its been ages.... But bored now! Anyway, 20 today... So yay me!!! Got Iron Maiden greatest hits, Van Halen live DVD, chocolate, Final Fantasy anthology, and a 3d modelling program for use in my own computer games I'm writing.... Oh and some money from my nan, so going up town to place a deposit on a Peavey Wolfgang electric guitar (Van Halen version...Droool!!!).... Going back to my uni house in colchester in like an hour... So no more internet access for a while... again. Miss everyone online... *Sigh* But going bowling, the fit american chick from my software engineering class is coming... I'm talking blonde, tall, in great shape, fantastic ass, very strange sense of humour just like mine... If only I were handsome (:0( But hey, there's always copius amounts of alcohol *weg* Bad stuff though.... My uncle, who is HIV positive has had some bad news regarding his health... 8:36 pm	Stuff Ok...Been a while since last update..Anyway, uni = good....People seem nice... Should have my accomodation sorted out tomorrow (private, so more expensive, but nice new house!).... Havnte got drunk in ages....REALLY want to get drunk...and laid.... *sigh*...Oh well... Been invited to a lecture on Playstation 2 technology in London on 30th Oct...Think I'll go! Still learning the Van Halen solo from Beat it, but coming along nicely...Which is cool! My two handed tapping is becoming more accurate and faster!..Did I mention I need to get drunk and laid?? There's an ok girl on my course...Not great... Might give it a go... What can I say, I'm bored!..... Oh YAY!!!! Alice Cooper in November!!! Hell yeah! Need to AIM more... Everyone thinks you are super-cool, but you're a bit worried that they'll figure out you're pretty normal. But you have such potential and a great attitude that you simply don't know your worth. Seems ok!....They still havnt sorted out my accomodation yet..So I'm commuting everyday...at £15 each day...Also no time to get a job...Since I'm living off campus...Like an hours train travel off campus, no chance o bird-age!!...Oh well...Fingers crossed My Nan very recently had a heart attack (Sunday)...Quite a bad one... on a numerical scale, 5 is classed as a heart attack...Hers was 75!!!!! But within an hour of her reporting chest pains, she was in hosptal getting treatment...She came home today, and shes in great health!!! So good news... She's watching my pitch black dvd on her dvd player and 32" Sony WEGA 100hz widescreen TV...SHe truly is the Coolest nan ever!!!! (and only 63!!!) Although she thinks KISS look scarier than Slipknot...Whatever *g* Well...My eye op hasnt yeilded great results...And it looks like I've got the condition coming in my right eye...So [Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<text [...] +>') in entry. But she's leaving for uni on Sunday....And I'm leaving for uni in the opposite direction! 9:24 pm	Friday 30/08/02 Not a great day.... Well...Today was a day just like any other! Not much happened I suppose! Got up, went to work, had a pretty crappy day there! Came home...Now AIM-ing Bed soon, and no doubt the same routine for tomorrow! Counting the days now until my eye op also....Should be fun... Only a local anesthetic though *eep*! Kinda found out that a certain somebody I may, or may not like is seeing someone else...So down-ness there too.... Only 3 or so weeks now until I leave work though and get ready for uni! Great fun *g* I'm planning a leaving do in Cambridge with my freinds in late September, as after that, I wont be seeing them much anymore.....But I'll give them a laugh!
